About Us:

Nurtured by the College's team-based approach to cardiovascular care, Cardiac Care Associate membership group has achived exceptional growth, reaching nearly 3,600 members at this time and since their inception in 2003. The CCAs are comprised of professional types including Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, and Physician Assistants.

Since 2003, when this member group was formed, CCAs serve not only on their own Committee, but also, on over 30 standing ACC Committees, including, but not limited to: publications, continuing education, cardiac catheterization and intervention committee, accreditation steering committee, and the heart failure and transplant committee.

Continuing Medical Education Credits. ACC is approved to provide American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accredited courses, which means that CCA nurse members may earn continuing education (CE) credit for several of the ACC’s educational programs. ACC is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACGME) so physician assistants may earn CMEs for approved courses.
